Encountered an error? Below are the most common messages and how to fix them:
🔎 404 — Sorry, we can't find that page.
This usually means:
The URL or its content (such as files/images) was deleted or moved
The URL was typed incorrectly or linked incorrectly
The server is not running or the connection is broken
Try:
Re-entering your website's address
Double-checking that your URL begins with
https://Emailing [email protected] with the link and a screenshot of the error — let us know what page you were trying to access
⚙️ 500 — Happenly is temporarily unavailable.
This usually means something unexpected happened on the server, such as:
Your event description under Setup > Event Details is too long
Your image file is over 2MB or not in a supported format (JPEG, JPG, PNG, or GIF)
The Happenly servers are temporarily down (rare, but possible)
Try:
Shortening your event description to 150–200 characters
Resizing your image file — Click here to access a free image resizing tool
Emailing [email protected] with your event link and tell us which section you were updating when the error occurred
❗ “Website Coming Soon” Message
If your event website shows a “Website Coming Soon” message, it means your site has not been published yet. To publish your website:
Go to your Event Dashboard
Click Website
Click Publish Website in the top right corner
Once published, your full event website will be visible to anyone with the URL.
