💌 Can I Add a Link to My Email Template or Invitation?

Learn how to include web links and control the RSVP button in your Happenly emails.

Written by Jess

At this time, Happenly does not support manually adding custom external hyperlinks to email text through the editor. However, when you include include a web address in the email body text, many mail clients (like Outlook or Google) will convert these from text to a clickable link.

Here are ways to include links in your email template:

🔗 Add a Web Address as Plain Text

If you paste a full URL (like https://yourwebsite.com) into the email body, most email clients (such as Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) will automatically convert it into a clickable link for recipients.

✅ Example:
Typing www.instagram.com/youreventname will likely appear as a link in most inboxes.

🎯 Use the Built-In Button

By default, EventCreate adds a button to your email (e.g., “RSVP Now” or “Register”) that links directly to:

  • Your event website

  • Your event registration form

  • Or an additional form (like a poll or follow-up survey)

You can customize the button text, but you can’t change the button’s destination URL.

🚫 Want to Remove the Button?

If you don’t want to include a call-to-action button:

  1. Go to the Email Editor

  2. Delete the button text

  3. Save the email — the button will no longer appear in the message
