✅ Option 1: Create a Website for Info Only (Hide the Registration Button)
If you’re not ready to accept registrations just yet, you can still create a website to share event details and collect interest in a low-pressure way.
Steps:
Create your event site
Set up a new event and customize your event page with details, images, and a Save the Date message
Go to Setup > Registration > Advanced
Scroll to Enable/Disable Registration
Uncheck “Registration is Active”
Click Update
This removes the “Register” button from your site and navigation, so guests can view your page without signing up yet.
Optional: Add a contact form or email link if you’d still like to collect early interest or questions
When you're ready to open registration, just add a registration button to your site and make sure to check “Registration is Active" (under Setup > Registration > Advanced)
Option 2: ✅ Use One Website — Switch Registration Later
This is the simplest way to build momentum early, then shift into collecting registrations later.
Create your event site
Choose Simple Registration during setup
Add a short form to collect names and emails
Send your Save the Date
Share your event website link for guests to see Save the Date details and register their interest
Optional: If you have attendee emails, you can use the Email/Invites feature to share the site and invite interest
Later: Switch to Simple or RSVP Registration
When you're ready to collect registration, go to Setup > Registration and change to SIMPLE OR RSVP Registration
Allow repeat registrations (important!)
Go to Setup > Registration > Advanced
Uncheck “My attendees cannot register more than once”
This allows guests who pre-registered to register again using the same email
Option 3: 🔁 Use Two Separate Websites — One for Interest, One for RSVPs
This is ideal if you want to keep pre-registration and event registration separate.
Create Website #1 – Choose Simple Registration to collect early interest
Duplicate the site later to create Website #2 with Simple or RSVP Registration
This allows you to keep the guest lists and reporting separate.
